Horse properties, equestrian acreage and bridle trailsThis is The Reserve at Autumnwood, a wooded retreat offering a unique opportunity to living in a natural, wooded environment. Whether you decide to travel on two legs, or four, you'll enjoy the miles of walking and bridle paths that wander through more than 20 acres of nature reserve along Mill Creek. Or, simply relax under the shade trees in the family picnic and playground area. Whichever you choose, you'll feel far from the maddening crowd in the natural old-growth surroundings enjoyed by Autumnwood residents.

Water is vital for abundant life so Mill Creek is the focus of activity for both residents and the indigenous wildlife. A little known fact is that Mill Creek and the wooded surroundings have played a central part in the naming of the area. In 1902 the town of Magnolia was moved to its current location. The railroad named it Melton, in honor of Jim Melton, a large landowner in the county, but the United States Post Office confused it with Milton. Consequently it was renamed Magnolia in 1903 for the magnolia trees in the bottoms of adjacent Mill Creek.
